Keynote Speaker

Thanks for being interested in including me in your event! My keynote speaker and workshop rates depend on many things (listed below), so the easiest way to work out a fee for your event is for us to have a short conversation about the event, audience, and goals for the talk or workshop. Then I can provide a proposal that meets your needs for you to share with the event organizers.

Speaking and Workshop Topics

  • Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Education
  • Future of Learning, Curriculum, and Technology
  • Math, Science, STEM Curriculum Redesign
  • Online or Remote Learning Design
  • Interdisciplinary Curriculum Design
  • Active Learning Strategies for Math, Science, or STEM
  • Technology and Society

Speaking at the TEDxSummit in Qatar

Speaker Costs

In general, speaking fees vary depending on many different conditions. I love doing in-person workshops, as I find this the most effective way to work with faculty.

  • Travel time required
  • How many days will I have to take off of school?
  • How much customization does the presentation or workshop require?
  • Am I the keynote speaker for an event?
  • Recording and distribution of the talk
  • Opportunity to promote a cause I care about
  • Opportunity to go somewhere warm and sunny in the winter
  • Opportunity to go somewhere fun or hike somewhere new

The total cost for me to attend and speak at your event will be Speaking Fee +  Travel + Lodging + Meals. My travel expenses by plane can be calculated from the Salt Lake City airport (SLC).

All speaking fees are negotiated in advance and paid to Edge of Learning LLC.

Virtual Events

Clearly, virtual keynote speaker events will be less expensive (only the speaking fee) and are preferred since I teach Monday through Friday and missing a day of school means using PTO and preparing sub plans.
